Get Outside - Discover Nature

The City of Gresham is seeking volunteers to assist with its annual bird survey. This opportunity is appropriate for any volunteer with a keen attention to detail including individuals and families. Volunteers survey a natural area or urban site four to seven times over a six week period, one hour per survey in April through June.


Volunteers are required to attend one of the protocol training sessions, which will cover survey techniques and a review of species identified in 2009.

Two training dates: Saturday, April 17, 9 a.m. to noon; or Wednesday, April 21, from 5 to 8 p.m., both at Gresham City Hall.
